Scheduling Inspections
Once a permit is obtained, depending on the type of permit, you may need one inspection or several. Please refer to the Required Inspections list. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to schedule inspections.
Generally, inspections can be scheduled 24 to 48 hours prior to the desired inspection time, but during the busy times of the year, it may be longer before an inspector is available. You may schedule an inspection by contacting the City of Orono (952-249-4600). Due to inspection volume, an inspection may not be scheduled without a permit.
Inspections by Other Organizations
There are a few types of permits where inspections are not done by the City. These include: Electrical, Fire Sprinkler, Fuel Tank Storage, Fuel Tank Storage Removal and Well Permits. Please refer to the contact information listed below.
