The Assessing Department is responsible for annually establishing the estimated market value and determining the property classification of each parcel of property located within the City of Orono for the purpose of property tax allocation.
Minnesota statutes requires that the values set by the assessor represent 100 percent of market value. The assessor must provide uniform property values to ensure the tax burden is distributed fairly and equitably.

If unable to attend any of the above meetings, you may call the number on the valuation notice to schedule a virtual appointment with an appraiser in advance of the following meeting date: Tuesday, April 23, 8 am to 7 pm.
If you would like to appeal your valuation, you may call or email the Assessors at any time after the valuation notice is received up until May 22, 2024.
